In my opinion some of the most tender scenes were the ones when the shopkeeper is ostracized by his own village folk who were the only family to him. The entire wedding dance sequence is heart-wrenching!Piyush Dewanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05887677851148935267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375273113538165146.post-47700701665718953842012-03-27T19:34:47.239-07:002012-03-27T19:34:47.239-07:00Nice film, and Pankaj Kapoor did a great job, as d...Nice film, and Pankaj Kapoor did a great job, as did the little girl who played Binya. My only issues (if issue that can be) is that the film diverged from the short story where the shopkeeper is not portrayed in as sympathetic a light. But I'll forgive Vishal Bharadwaj such teeny quibbles. :)Anu Warrierhttp://anuradhawarrier.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375273113538165146.post-88376744469433543482012-03-26T22:04:08.505-07:002012-03-26T22:04:08.505-07:00No worries, most others would have seen a tenth of...No worries, most others would have seen a tenth of the movies that you have seen:) Do watch Satya though- it may not come out as very fresh now, with so many other movies following the same texture, but it is still a very compelling watch. I wish the lead would have been as powerful as the subject though. Satya can an unique case study of a very powerful film let down by an insipid lead (title) character!Piyush Dewanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05887677851148935267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375273113538165146.post-35074811677863133312012-03-26T21:44:11.237-07:002012-03-26T21:44:11.237-07:00Would you believe it - I haven't even seen Sat...Would you believe it - I haven't even seen Satya? Thank you for putting this on my to-watch list! I too often miss new films (including cult films), so have decided I should see some more of those.dustedoffhttp://www.dustedoff.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
